400g lean minced beef

200g porridge oats

2 small or 1 large onion diced

2 crushed garlic bulbs

500ml of tomato pasta sauce (recipe posted under sauce)

1 pint beef stock

Lasagne sheets

1 pint white sauce (recipe posted in sauces)

200g grated cheese


1Fry your mince and onions until the mince is browned and not lumpy add the garlic and fry for 2 more minutes

2Stir in the porridge oats mixing well

3Add the tomato sauce and stock and bring to the boil. Simmer gently stirring occasionally for 20 minutes. If the mix is too dry add some more water

4Put 1/4 of the mince in a casserole dish and cover with lasagne sheets

5Put 1/4 of your white sauce on top of the lasagne sheets and spread out

6Add another 1/4 of the mince then lasagne sheets and then wop with white sauce and half of the cheese

7Repeat for 2nd dish

8Cook in the oven at GM 6 200c for 25-30 minutes

9Serve with a green salad and some yummy garlic toast
