Use just one colour of skittles

  • Prep: 10 mins
  • Yields: 3 x 500ml bottles

Ingredients

1 1.5 litre of vodka

2x large bags of skittles

Directions

1Separate the skittles into bowls of colours

2Divide the vodka between 3 kilner jars

3Add about 180g skittles ( the same colour ) to each jar

4Seal and shake the jars

5Leave until the skittles are completely dissolved and your vodka has changed colour .

6Use a funnel and muslin or a coffee filter to decant the skittles vodka into bottles

7Seal and chill or freeze before serving

You can use other sweets to make this ( candy canes etc )

Toffee vodka is another one to try, simply add caramel coffee syrup to vodka, you can also buy raspberry cordial fromthe Polish shelf in Tesco and do a similar thing, also works in gin

No you can use empty water bottles but since I’m sharing these as gift ideas that’s why I say glass

I did it in plastic water bottles a few years ago. I’m guessing it wouldn’t store very well in plastic though. mine was gone within 48 hours lol

Tip – separate the colours of the skittles or you’ll end up with muddy coloured vodka ( ask me how I know this!) x
