Perfect easy sunday afternoon teatime treat

  • Prep: 10 mins
  • Cook: 30 mins
  • Yields: 6-8 slices

Ingredients

225g marg

225g s/r flour

225g caster sugar

4 eggs

1 tbs baking powder

1 tbsp vanilla extract

Directions

1Pre heat oven to 180

2Line 2 8inch sandwich tins.

3Put all ingredients in a bowl and mix till its all combined. Do not over mix

4Devide between two tins and bake for 30 mins

5After 20 mins check by sticking a knife in . If it comes out clean its cooked .

6Take out oven give them 5 mins in tin then cool on a wire rack .

7Use any filling you want. Traditionally its strawberries and whipped cream. But come on lets have fun.

Lets get crazy.
Sprinkle cake with gin ....dont soak it . Then add lemon curd and whipped cream.

Ive lost alk confidence in baking Cakes… they are either lopsided..don’t rise…cook uneven or all these at the same time … i used to enjoy it though…

I can bake and decorate just hate taste if them. Why i am fat is just mean as i dont eat cake. ……. oh wait i love pie lol Dawn
