Cinnamon Rolls

Yields1 Serving

 250g bread flour
 1 tspn salt
 1 sachet easy bake yeast
 20g softened butter
 150ml warm water
Filling:
 30g softened butter
 100g sultanas
 2-3 tspn cinnamon
Topping :
 100g caster sugar
 100g sugar
 1 beaten egg

Combine the flour , salt , yeast , butter and water

When it forms a smooth dough tip onto a floured surface

Knead for 5-10 minutes until smooth and elastic

Put back into the bowl and cover . Leave for at least an hour

Tip the dough onto a floured surface and roll it to a rectangle about 1.5cm thick

Spread the butter onto the dough

Sprinkle over the sultanas

Dust over the cinnamon

From the narrowest end roll up the dough to form a sausage

Cut into 6

Lay them facedown on a greased baking sheet and leave for 45minitrs

Heat oven to 190C

Brush the swirls with beaten egg

Bake for 20 minutes

Put the sugar and water in a pan

Bring to the boil allow to boil for about 2 minutes until syrup has thickened

When swirls are cooked remove from the oven

Brush immediately with the syrup
