MICROWAVE STEAMED SPONGE

Quick, cheap, easy and tasty! What more could you want?

 50 g butter
 50 g sugar
 50 g self raising flour
 1 egg
 2 tbsp milk
 2 tbsp jam or syrup or chocolate spread

cream together the sugar and the butter

mix in the beaten egg and milk

fold in the flour

put your jam / syrup / choc spread in the base of a small microwavable bowl

pour your cake batter over the top

cover with cling film and cook in the microwave on full power for 3.5 minutes

serve with custard!
