Sausage Rolls

Yields4 Servings

 1 packet ready made puff pastry
 1lb sausage meat
 Salt and pepper
 A little chopped sage
 A beaten egg to glaze
 You could add some made up stuffing to the mix or sautéed onions or grain mustard or cooked bacon have a play around

Heat oven to 190C

Add seasoning mix to the sausage meat and mix well

Roll out the pastry (or unroll the ready rolled)

On a floured board roll the sausage meat into a shape to fit the pastry

Put onto the pastry

Brush one side of pastry with beaten egg

Fold pastry over the sausage meat and seal using some of the egg wash

Cut to size and place on a baking tray with the seal side down

Brush with beaten egg , cut a slash ( or slashes ) on the top of the pastry

Bake for about 30 minutes until pastry is golden and risen
