This always goes down a bomb

 300g bag of toffee or butterscotch eg Wethers Original
 1.5 litres of vodka

Pour the vodka into a large kilner jar

Smash the toffees in a bag with a rolling pin or use a coffee grinder or good processor

Pour the toffee shards into the vodka

Close the lid and shake every couple of days until the toffee is dissolved

Decant into sterilised bottles and enjoy
