Yields1 Serving

 7oz plain flour , or wholemeal
 1/4 tspn salt
 3.5 fl oz warm water
 2 tblspns Oil plus extra to fry
 Herbs or chilli to flavour ( optional )

Put the flour and salt in a large bowl and mix to combine

Add herbs or chilli if using

Gradually trickle in the water

Bring the mix together with your hand

Add the oil and knead into the dough

You want a smooth soft dough

If you have time leave dough to stand for 30 minutes

Divide dough into 4 or 6 balls

Roll the balls into a disc that will go in your frying pan

Heat the pan and brush with a little oil

Fry for 2 minutes each side , the bread should puff up a little bit and be slightly coloured
