00Salt n Chilli Pork ChopsA speedy midweek dinner thats full of the rich flavour of paprika, with a hint of sweetness and a touch of spice. Think pork chops are dry? There's nothing dry about these pork chops. Marinated and Air fried, these are succulent and melt in the mouth. I've air fried them, but you can do them in the frying pan or oven too. I've sliced them, as It allows you to stretch 3 chops to feed 4 without feeling cheated, but by all means use 4 if your budget can stretch. I've used my own marinade but you use a pre made one if you prefer. You can adapt this to suit you and your families tastes by using more or less spice. Why not give this a try and let us know how you get on in the comments below. We love to hear your feedback. E x
00Pork Steaks in a creamy caramelised onion & mushroom sauceA lot of people think Pork can be dry but this recipe ensures that isn't the case. Pork loin steaks are leaner than center cut chops but they still contain some fat which helps with the flavours during cooking but you can trim this off once cooked. The creamy sauce, caramelised onions and mushrooms add a depth of flavour thats delicious. I'm sure this recipe will soon become a family favourite. You can tailor it to suit you and your families tastes- I added 1/2 a pack of stir fry veg which I found in the fridge but thats optional and you can add any veg that you prefer or serve it on the side. You can also swap the cream cheese for creme fraîche or cream if you prefer.... It really is versatile. Why not give this a try and let us know how you got on in the comments below. 00Marinated Pork ChopsI set out to make a Peking or Char Siu style Marinade for some Boneless Pork Chops I had but, as I quickly discovered, I had no Hoisin, Plum sauce or Rice wine ,so I just used what I had in the cupboard. It worked well and I was not disappointed. Full flavoured, sweet ,tangy and delicious is how I'd describe these chops. The marinade keeps them succulent and stops them from being dry and the salty soy sauce mixed with the sweet chilli sauce gives a slightly tangy sweet n sour taste. We always say do not be afraid to swap out or add in any ingredients you have to hand. This dish can easily be adjusted to you and your families tastes. The step by step picture guide makes the recipe easy to follow and will guide you through the cooking process in no time. Why not give this a try and let us know how you got on in the comments below. 00Teriyaki Glazed Spare RibsSpare ribs are a great bbq staple but if your not lucky enough to have a bbq don't despair as there's still an easy way to do them using your slow cooker. I've used some single short ribs which you often find going cheap at the butchers counter but this would work just as well for a rack of ribs just adjust the cooking time a bit.I've seared them first as I'm a great believer in searing the meat to give it flavour but you don't have to do that. You can just place them straight in your slow cooker and you will still get great results. The Teriyaki glaze is lovely but you can just use your favourite bbq sauce instead. The step by step guide will help you to make a yummy meal thats full flavoured, tangy and sweet with just a hint of chilli. Its speedy and uses the cheaper cuts of pork that makes this a great budget friendly meal that uses store cupboard ingredients. Don't have all the spices? Just leave them out and it will still work out great. You can add a little bit of a kick to the sweetness of the glaze with a touch of chilli or leave it as it is.
