The easiest bread you will ever make
In a deep bowl add the flour salt and sugar and give it a mix
Add in the yeast and mix through
Make a well in the middle and add your water and mix in using a palette knife till everything is combined into a rough dough
Spread 1/2 of the extra flour onto your counter, oil your hands to prevent the dough sticking then remove your dough from the bowl.
Use the heel of your hand push it into the dough and away from you,lift it up,turn it round,fold the dough from the outer edge in and repeat step 1 again for 5-10mns until its a smooth dough.
Shape it into a ball and pop it back into the bowl. Cover for 1hr-1 n 1/2 hrs
Lightly grease a sheet of baking paper and put it in your slow cooker .Put the lid on and turn it on high for 20mns
Once proved take the dough out of the bowl and kneed for 2-3mns to knock the air out,form it back into a ball and drop it into your slow cooker. Lightly slash the top with a knife then put the lid on.
Cook on high for 90 mins, take it out,peel off the paper turn it over and put it back on the paper and back into your SC for 20 mns.
Remove the bread, turn over and tap the bottom -if its cooked it should sound hollow- if not pop it back in for another 20mns. then coat the top with a little oil and pop in the oven for 5-10 mns to crisp up the crust
Remove from the oven and place on a wire rack Leave to cool for 20mns
Serve warm with your favourite butter.
