Make mini pies as the photo or a large family sized pie
Put the apples into a pan
Toss in the cinnamon and sugar
Put on a low heat adding a little water
Cook with a lid on for 5-10 minutes
Remove from heat and let cool
Roll out the pastry
Line greased muffin tins or a pie dish
Put in fridge to chill
Heat oven to 190c
Put the flour,sugar , oats and cinnamon in a bowl .
Add in the cubed butter
Rub with your fingertips until you get a breadcrumb like consistency
Put the cooled apple mix into the pastry cases(s)
Top with the crumble mix
Cook individual pies for about 15 mins or a large pie for 25-30 minutes
Serve with custard, ice cream or pouring cream.
