Use suet or butter for these
Put the flour , baking powder , suet ( or butter ) and salt ( and herbs. If using into a bowl
Stir to mix
Gradually add in enough cold water to bring the mixture together - use the end of a wooden spoon to mix
Roll in 4 large or 8 small balls
These can now be baked on a baking tray at 180c for 15-20 minutes
Or put on top of a stew for last 30 minutes of oven or stove top cooking
For 45-60 minutes of slow cooker cooking
For 5-10 minutes of pressure cooking
