Cottage Pie

Cottage Pie is the first meal on my list as it’s a great way to bulk out your meat. It’s an old classic – who doesn’t love a cottage pie? – and it’s easy to reheat, so I’ve put it on as an option for two meals and not just one. Of course, I’ve got a recipe for cottage pie on my website, so please head over here to read it.

As time goes on, you’ll find that you can use a lot of what you’ll have left over from this meal in other meals as well, such as onion or oats, which you will also need for my lasagne below, so you’ll be able to save by buying some of them in bulk. My cottage pie turned out like this…

Of course, lasagne is an all-time family favourite! You can’t go wrong with lasagne, so I put it on the plan for two meals as well. With so many ready made kinds of lasagne being offered in shops, many people won’t bother making it from scratch, but with quality meat like in your Muscle Food Hamper, you really can taste the difference. Plus, it works out much cheaper than a store-bought lasagne and you’ll be able to make it without all the nasties that go into ready meals. Cheese Burger Pasta

This recipe is a great way to use up your leftovers. It’s as simple as it sounds – I had some hamburgers leftover and some pasta in my cupboard, and tada!

It’s a really quick and yummy midweek meal! You can bulk it out with your family’s favourite veg as well! That’ll make it an even healthier meal and it’ll make the yummy meat go a bit further. Find my full recipe here!

Sweet & Spicy Meatballs

As meatballs are a favourite in my house, and I’m sure they will be in yours if you have kids, I tried to come up with new ways of spicing them up. This recipe pairs them with a lovely Asian style sweet & spicy sauce. I bet your family will love them too! You don’t have to make them very spicy at all, just season the way you would like them. Here’s my recipe and have a look at my tasty result below!
