Granny loaf is a not fat cake/bread. Easy and cheap .
I ate migh chunck with butter and strong cheese.
225 g Self raising flour
25 g Brown sugar
50 g Chopped nuts
75 g Dried fruit
1 tbsp Golden syrup
150 ml Milk

Heat oven to 180c / 350f and grease a 6inch tin.

Mix all the dry ingredients together

Add the milk and syrup and mix to a soft dough

Add mixture to tin and bake for 45 mins or untill a knife comes out clean

Because it’s a little slider to do that and on a phone it’s so quick – well that’s my excuse and I’m sticking to it . P
No worries- just put me off a little, presume it doesn’t take that long!! x

It doesn’t , it’s the slider we use to time it’s a bit awkward on the phone . P
If I missed out the nuts would I nerd to add anything in their place?

I added 25g instead of 50g and wish i added more. However do t think anyone would notice if i did not add them. Dawn
My mum used to make tea cake, it was the best, anyone have a recipe.
