Pork steaks in a Honey and Soy Glaze

 4 Pork Loin steaks (boneless)
 2 tbsp Low sodium Soy sauce
 3 tbsp Runny honey
 1 pinch Chilli flakes
 Chopped Parsley to garnish
 2 tbsp Oil
 25 g Butter
 6 tbsp Water

Heat the oil in a frying pan or griddle on a medium heat

Cut through the fat on the chops at 5cm intervals to prevent it curling

Add the steaks to the pan

Mix the Soy sauce, honey and water to make the glaze.Pour over the steaks and sprinkle on the chilli flakes

Fry the steaks for 4-5 minutes each side

Add the butter to the glaze and baste the steaks frequently

Take off the heat, garnish with the parsley and allow to rest for 5-10 minutes

Serve with potatoes and veg

If the glaze dries up add more water

  1. Letting the steaks rest allows the meat fibers—which contract when hot—to relax and reabsorb juices they’ve squeezed out. Thus your meat won’t be dry
