A cheap and cheerful dinner
Ingredients
2-3 sausages per person
4oz Plain Flour
2 eggs
Salt and pepper
1pint milk or milk/water mix
Oil
Optional - red onion wedges , baby tomatoes
Directions
First make your batteras early as possible
Put the flour and salt and pepper in a large bowl - mix
Make a well add in the eggs - whisk
Gradually add in the milk whisking all the time
Put in the fridge for as long as possible
Heat oven to 200c
Put the sausages in a baking tin/dish
Cook for 10 minutes until they're browning
Add some oil
When the oil is smoking add the onion and tomatoes if using
Pour in the batter - it should sizzle and start to cook at the edges
Put the pan into the oven on the top shelf
Bake for 25-30 until golden and risen
Serve with onion gravy
