Apple Turnovers

Use any fruit in these

 1 large Bradley apples peeled and roughly chopped
 Or 2-4 dessert apple prepared as above
 Splash of orange juice
 1-2 tspns cinnamon
 2-3 tblspn caster sugar
 1 pkt puff pastry
 1 beaten egg
 Granulated sugar to taste

Put the apples , orange juice , sugar and cinnamon in a pan .

Heat gently until the apple is just soft

Allow to cool

Heat oven to 200c

Roll out the pastry and cut into 4 squares

Brush the edges of pastry with the beaten egg

Add spoonfuls of the apple to the Square

Fold over into a triangle, seal the edges well

Put into a baking tray lined with baking paper

Brush the tips with beaten egg

Sprinkle over the granulated sugar

Bake for 20-30 minutes until golden and risen

Cool on a wire rack
