Penny2017-08-07T14:34:47+00:00 Total Recipe Views: 135 Apricot tart tatin By Penny Puddings / Dessert English August 7, 2017 Use plums or apples or pears in this recipe Prep: 15 mins Cook: 25 mins Yields: 6 servings Ingredients 1 pkt puff pastry 8 apricots or a tin 75g caster sugar 40g cubed butter Directions 1Heat oven to 200c 2Halve the fruit removing the stones 3Put a small ovenproof frying pan on a medium heat 4Add the sugar and let it melt . DO NOT stir the sugar - swirl the pan . Cook until the sugar caramelises and turns a golden brown 5Take off of the heat and stir through the cubes butter 6Keep stirring as it thickens this will take 2-3 minutes 7Place the apricots into the caramel cut side down 8Let it cool for 15- 20 minutes 9Roll your the pastry . 10Use a dinner plate as your guide and cut out a circle 11Place on top of the fruit and push down the sides 12Bake for 20-25 minutes until the pastry is golden 13Let the tart stand for a couple of minutes then quickly and carefully turn it onto a plate . 14Serve with vanilla ice cream close full screen 00:00 0 Reviews Cancel replyYou must be logged in to post a comment.
