Braised Pigs Cheeks

Yields1 Serving
 A couple of packets of pigs cheeks ( enough for 2 or 3 each )
 2 sliced leeks
 2 eating apples , cored and sliced
 2 tblspns fresh chopped sage
 1 tblspns oil
 1 tblspns flour
 1/2-1pint of cider
1

Heat the oil in a large pan

Add the cheeks and brown on both sides . Remove and put on a plate

Add in the leeks and sauté

Add the apples and stir through the leeks

Stir in the flour and cook for a minute or 2

Add in half pint of cider and seasoning

Put the cheeks back in , put the lid on the pan and let it cook for at least 2.5 hours

Check it periodically adding more liquid if needed

Serve with potatoes and a green vegetable

Can be cooked in a slow cooker high for 6 hours low 8-10 hours

Can also be pressure cooked for 40 minutes
