Cauliflower Cheese

A lovely side dish

1 cauliflower broken into florets

50g butter

50g plain flour

500ml milk

100g grated cheese

1tspn English mustard

Salt and pepper

1tblspn butter

Handful breadcrumbs


1Heat oven to 200c

2Cook the florets chicken n water ifor 5 minutes

3Drain and leave to one side

4Melt the butter in a frying an on a medium heat

5Add in the flour

6Whisk together and cook for 2-3 minutes

7Gradually add in the milk whisking all the time

8Add in the mustard and seasoning

9When its thickened remove from the heat

10Stir through the grated cheese

11Arrange cauliflower in a buttered dish

12Pour over the sauce , ensure all the cauliflower is coated

13Melt the tblspn of butter in a pan

14Add the breadcrumbs

15Stir until coated

16Sprinkle over the cauliflower cheese

17Bake for 20 minutes or r until golden
