Chicken Tikka Masala

2TBSP oil

25g butter

2 onions

2TBSP tikka paste

2 large chicken breasts

2 x 400g tins of chopped tomatoes

2TBSP tomato puree

2tsp mango chutney

150mls cream or natural yoghurt


1Heat the oil and butter, add the onions and cook gently for 15 minutes

2Add the paste and cook for 5 mins

3Add the diced chicken, stir well to coat and cook for 2 mins

4Add the tomatoes, 100mls of water and cover and simmer for 25 minutes

5Stir through the mango chutney and cream/yoghurt and warm through

6Serve with rice and naan bread
