Chilli Con carne

Serve with rice and tortilla chips

350g minced beef

1 onion diced

1 -2 peppers diced

1 tin sweetcorn

1 stick celery chopped

2 cloves garlic

1red chilli chopped (optional)

Tin chopped tomatoes

2 tbspn tomato puree

Tin kidney beans

1-2 tblspns chilli con carne seasoning mix (recipe on our website)

A couple of squares dark chocolate

150ml beef stock


1Dry-fry the mince in a pan until browned

2Add the onion , pepper,celery, garlic, and seasoning and diced chilli ( if using ) fry for 2-3 minutes.

3Add the purée and cook for 2 minutes

4Add in the beans and sweetcorn

5Mix well

6Add the stock

7Bring to boil, season to taste, reduce heat and simmer for 45-60 minutes.

8Grate in the chocolate 10 minutes before serving
