Chocolate Concrete

160g butter

1 egg beaten

25g cocoa

225g SR flour

175g sugar


1Heat oven to 170c

2Mix all the dry ingredients in a large bowl , make a well in the centre.. Grease and line a 30x18cm tin

3Melt the butter in a pan

4Pour the melted butter into the well and mix

5Gradually mix in the beaten egg

6Pour this mix into the prepared tray, spreading it into the corners

7Sprinkle with water and a little sugar

8Bake for about 40 minutes

9Cool in the tray for 5 minutes and cut into squares /triangles /slices then continue cooling on a wire rack
