1 tin of chick peas

3 tblspns tahini or peanut butter

Juice of 1 lemon

3 tblspns olive oil

2 cloves of garlic

0.5-1 tspn salt

0.5 tspn cumin

2tblspns water

Paprika or lemon zest to top


1Put the tahini ( or peanut butter ) in a processor with the lemon juice and pulse for 1 minute add the garlic and blend for another minute

2If you like pinch the chickpeas to remove the shells ( I don't ) . Add them to the processor and mix until they're combined

3Drizzle in the olive oil slowly whilst the processor is on and mix until the hummus is of the consistency you like

4If it's too thick add in some of the water and blend until silky

5Put in a bowl and top with paprika or lemon zest
