This is so so yummy! I've been making this for a long time for my family and although smoked salmon is perceived as an expensive item, for around the £3 it costs me to buy the salmon I can make enough of this for around 10 sandwiches, not that it ever lasts that long. It goes ALOT further that the equivalent smoked salmon pate in any supermarket!
For a cheaper alternative why the follow the recipe but use mackerel instead.
I use aldi smoked salmon fillets for this recipe.
Prep: 10 mins
Yields: 10-12 servings
Two standard sized pieces of smoked salmon fillet (you could replace this with mackerel)
3/4 tub of creme fresh
2 spring onions finely diced
Dash of English mustard
The juice of 1/2 a Lemon, although I add more for my taste!
Salt and pepper to taste
If you can get your hands on some fresh dill and small handful of it chopped is a fantastic addition.
1Put it all In a food processor and blitz!
3Use for sandwiches, dips, crackers, toast topped with tomato and cucumber! Yum!
