Peach Cobbler

About 6 peaches , peeled and thickly sliced

1/2 cup plain flour

1 tblspns baking powder

3/4 cup of sugar

Pinch of salt

1/4 cup of milk

2 tblspns melted butter

A further 1/4 cup of sugar

1/2tblspn cornflour

1/4 cup boiling water


1Heat oven to 170C

2Layer the peaches in an oven proof dish

3Mix together the flour, 3-4 cup of sugar , baking powder

4Stir in the melted butter and milk

5Spread over the peaches

6Mix the remaining sugar and cornflour . Sprinkle all over the top

7Pour on the boiling water

8Bake for 45-50 minutes

9When I say cup it's an American measure but any size cup will do , just use the same one for all the recipe
