Rhubarb and Ginger Oaty Crumble

Use different fruits apples, pears , strawberries


About 6 sticks of rhubarb cut into 1 inch pieces

2 tspns ground ginger

2 tbsns granulated sugar

100g plain flour

100g porridge oats

100g butter

4 tbsns brown sugar

2 tspns ground ginger


1Heat oven to 180C

2Lay the rhubarb on an oven tray and sprinkle on the granulated sugar and ginger

3Bake in the oven for 15 minutes

4Let it cool on the tray

5Put all the crubmble ingredients into a bowl

6Rub between your fingers to combine

7Put the rhubarb and any juices into an ovenproof dish

8Sprinkle over the crumble

9Bake for 20-30 minutes

10Serve with custard , cream or ice cream
