A sweet treat that\'s perfect for the children to help with
Roll out the pastry and mark out 8 rectangles
Break the egg,mix with a fork and spread over 4 of the rectagles,
Add 1 tbsp of jam to the remaining 4 rectangles, leaving a clear edge then place the egg washed pastry over the jam,eggwash side up
Press the edges of the pastry together and mark with a fork, prick the middle of the pastry
Spread with egg wash once more then chill in fridge for 30mns
Take out of fridge,place in the oven and bake for 18mns at 180° then place on a rack and allow to cool
Mix the Icing sugar with a little water until it's smooth and sticking to the back of a spoon
Spread over the tart and add some decoration- brown sugar
Tip- swap the jam for Peanut butter or Chocolate or bananas and cinnamon
Tip- add candy sprinkles instead of sugar
There may be a little leakage from the fillings but its fine to scrape away with a knife
