Beef Stroganoff
Ingredients
500 g Rump steak
1 tsp Salt
2 tsp Black pepper
2 tsp Smoked paprika
2 Thinly sliced large onions
300 g Sliced chestnut mushrooms
OR
2 Peppers thinly sliced
250 ml Sour cream
1 tbsp English mustard
150 ml Warm beef stock
Oil
Directions
Put the slices steak in a dish and sprinkle on the salt , pepper and paprika . Toss to coat . Leave it at least 1 hour
Heat the oil in a pan and very entry sauté them onions until they start to soften
Add in the peppers and when they’re soft push to one side of the pan
Add a little more oil if needed and fry they steak slices for up to 1 minute each side
Add in the sour cream and mustard and mix everything together
Add in the beef stock and whisk into the sauce
Simmer for a few more minutes and serve
