Cheese scones

 450 g Self raising flour
 1 tsp Salt
 50 g Marg/butter
 150 g Cheese , greated
 2 Eggs
 150 ml Milk

Pre geat your oven to 220c

Mix flour and salt. Rub in the butter/marg. Mix the cheese in so its coated by the flour

Mix the eggs and milk together well. Add a but at a time to the dry ingredients till it comes together and forms a ball. If you need extra milk add it.

Handle as little as possible. Roll out and cut....DO NOT TIWST THE CUTTER. This seals the sides and stops them rising.

Brush with egg or milk and bake for 10/15mins.

  1. Made these gluten free tonight, slightly dry in common with a lot of gf things but not crumbly like they often are. I needed to use all the milk/egg and next time might add a little extra milk and some more cheese as they weren’t cheesy enough for me.
    Made 10 but I didn’t roll them out just shaped them instead to save time.
