Dump bag / Slow Cooker Jamaican Beef Stew

Delicious spicy beef stew which can be prepped ahead for the slow cooker

 500 g beef joint or diced beef
 1 pepper, diced
 2 carrots, chunks
 1 stick celery, sliced
 1 parsnips, chunks
 1 tin of chickpeas, rinsed and drained
 1 tin of chopped tomatoes
 1 tbsp garlic, minced
 2 tbsp cajun spices
 1 tsp all spice
 2 tbsp tomato puree
 2 tbsp oil

label a large (gallon) freezer bag with the name and date and instructions

Add all the ingredients to the bag and give it a good squidge to mix them up

Remove as much air as possible and seal

Freeze until needed

Defrost overnight

Dump the ingredients in the slow cooker and cook for 8 - 10 hours on low

If you used a joint of beef remove it and shred it then stir back in

Serve with mashed potatoes, rice or crusty bread
