Beef Ribs In BBQ glaze

4 beef ribs ( get your butcher to cut them in half

Salt and pepper

4oz tomato ketchup

2 tblspn Worcestershire sauce

1 tblspn cider vinegar

1 garlic clove ( crushed or finely chopped)

1/4 tspn salt

1/4tspn mustard powder

Dash of tobasco

2 tblspns dark soft brown sugar


1Heat oven to 100C or use a slow cooker

2Season the ribs with salt and pepper

3Place in an oven dish and cover with 2 layers of foil . Or put into slow cooker

4Cook for 6-8 hours

5Remove from the pot . Drain off the fat and reserve for making delicious roast spuds at a later date

6Put all other ingredients into a pan

7Heat gently stirring until the sugar is disolved

8Allow to simmer for 5 minutes then let cool

9Heat oven to 200C

10Brush the ribs with sauce and cook for 20 minutes. Basting with more sauce a couple of times
