Carrot and swede mash

1 swede cut into small cubes

About 5 carrots , chopped twice the size of the swede

A little butter

Salt and pepper


1Boil the carrots and swede until a knife can be easily inserted into the pieces

2Drain thoroughly

3Mash or put through a potato ricer

4Add butter and seasoning


6Can be frozen. I cooked mine in the pressure cooker for about 10 minutes

7For a really smooth mash use a hand blender or push through a sieve
