Easy to make

110g pork shoulder,

110g pig's liver, chopped

220g belly pork, chopped (fatty is good)

110g bacon bits ( chopped streaky )

110g fresh breadcrumbs

1 onion, finely chopped

1/2 tspn mace

1 tspn allspice

2 tblspn chopped parsley

2 sage leaves, finely chopped

Salt and pepper to taste

Streaky bacon stretched out with the back of a knife


1Heat oven to 170c

2Mince all the roughly chopped meats in a mincer or if you do not have a mincer, then chop using tge Pulse action of a processor - DO NOT OVERMIX - you want mince NOT mush

3Put the minced meat into a large bowl. Add the breadcrumbs, the onion, the herbs, spices and a pinch of salt and pepper.

4Mix thoroughly yep get your hands in

5Divide the mix inti 8 and roll into evenly sized balls.

6Wrap each ball streaky bacon making sure the bacon overlaps and is secure

7The bacon seals the faggot as it cooks holding them together.

8Put the faggots on a baking tray and bake for 50 to 60 minutes.

Can be frozen after cooking

Oh love faggots but only ever bought them. My boys hate liver but will eat faggots. Will be trying these.
