Fettuccine Alfredo

Ingredients

450g fettucinne

150g butter

230ml double cream ( you can use creme fraiche )

85g grated Italian cheese ( pecorino, Parmesan , Romano etc )

Pinch garlic salt

Salt and pepper to taste

Directions

1Cook the fettuccine in boiling salted water for about 10 minutes

2Melt the butter into the cream on a large saucepan

3Add the seasonings

4Stir in the cheese(s) over a medium heat until the sauce thickens

5Drain pasta

6Add to the sauce and toss

7Serve immediately with a little extra grated cheese
