Pork Schnitzel

A tasty pork dish

  • Cook: 10 mins
  • Yields: 4 servings


4 pork loin chops - fat removed

Salt and black pepper

1tspn salt mixed with some plain flour

2 eggs

Dry breadcrumbs


1Put the chops on top of some cling film

2Cover them with another piece of cling film

3Using a meat mallet or rolling pin batter out the chops until they are about 1/4” thick

4Season both sides with salt and pepper

5Dip in the seasoned flour

6Then the egg

7Then the breadcrumbs

8Shake off any excess crumbs

9Fry in a little hot oil for about 2-3 mins each side

10Serve straight away

Delicious served with a peppercorn sauce

I made this with gluten free flour and Tesco gluten free breadcrumbs. It needed a little longer than the recipe said to cook and quite a lot of oil to crisp up however it was still low calories once the fat was of the steak. Served with mash potato and corn on the cob.
Nice if a bit plain.
