Preserved lemons for drinks

3 unwaxed lemons

1 cup granulated sugar

2 cups of water


1Sterilise a couple of small jars

2Slice the lemons

3Put the sugar and water into a saucepan and heat until the sugar is disolved

4Put the lemon slices into the jars , pushing down if need be

5Pour over the still warm stock syrup

6Seal the jars and when cool store in the fridge

7Use in teas , hot lemon drinks , waters , g&t's etc
