Prepare your Buttermilk-Simply mix the milk and lemon juice together.
Mix your spices together in a bowl -Turmeric,Paprika,Garlic,Chilli,Salt

Butterfly the chicken-Cut through the middle of the breasts to make 2 thinner pieces.Place in a dish and sprinkle half the spices over your chicken, making sure they're fully coated on all sides.

Pour the buttermilk over the chicken, stir, cover and put in the fridge for 2hrs to marinate.

Sieve your flour,add to a bowl and mix in the remaining spices

Create an assembly line for coating your chicken -marinade-flour-dish-so it's not too messy

Dip the marinated chicken into the seasoned flour and turn over a few times to ensure it's fully coated. Dip it back into the marinade then back into the flour

Shake off the excess and put on a plate. Repeat these steps till all the chicken is coated

Heat the oil till to 180° and add the chicken - I did it in batches

Fry for 10-12 mns turning over a few times to ensure even cooking

Drain on kitchen roll or a wire rack whilst you cook the remaining chicken

Drizzle over the honey and serve with salad and a sweet chilli dip or mayo

This works well with drumsticks or chicken thighs too.
Great in wraps,chopped and mixed through a salad or pasta.
