Electric pressure cooker – beef stew

Delicious and much quicker than traditional cooking.

 250 g Stewing steak
 1 Large onion, diced
 4 Carrots, in 1 inch chunks
 ½ Large or one small swede
 1 tbsp Flour
 3 Oxo cubes
 1 l Water
 2 tbsp Corn flour
 1 tbsp Oil
 500 g Baby potatoes, halved

Roll your beef in the flour

Add your oil to your pressure cooker pot and turn on sear / sauté to high

Fry off your beef until sealed

Add your onions and sauté for a few minutes

Add your water and oxo cubes and put the pressure cooker lid on

Set pressure to high and set time for 20 minutes

Do an instant release on the pressure cooker

Add your veg and potatoes into the pot and put the lid back on

Set pressure to high and set timer for 4 minutes

Instant release the pressure

Make a paste with your cornflour and add to the pot.

Put the pressure cooker back onto sear / sauté and cook for a few more minutes I t the gravy is nice and thick. If you don’t have a lot of liquid in your pot you can add some more beef stock
